Revival, Church Service And A Talk With The Pastor

Church window

This past weekend I was busy spending time with my family. Saturday night my boyfriend, daughter and I went to out to eat. Afterward, we stopped in at a Revival that was going on at a local church. It latest two hours. A Revival is a bunch of singing, dancing, and preaching. You would think my daughter would have been rambunctious. Nope, she sat in her seat quiet as a mouse.

Church window

Sunday morning, my boyfriend, daughter and I attended the church service at the same place the Revival was held. It latest two hours. I was surprised. As any church service, I have attended in the past latest no more than an hour. I am not complaining. I enjoyed every moment of it.

Church window

After the church service, my boyfriend and I had a meeting with the pastor in preparations with the upcoming wedding. I guess I can officially call my boyfriend my fiance'. (Or does that happen after you gets the rings.) The pastor gave us both a little homework. We have to tell him what love means to us. We can't talk about it or discuss it together. As he wants to discuss it in our next meeting together. As we will start out with two ways to love. By time we are done with the talk, our knowledge of love will be the same way. On the same path and thoughts.

Weekend Follow Up #3

This is a follow up of all the blog posts I have created for the past week in case you missed one. I would like to do this weekly. I write on a variety of subjects. As I have three places I currently write at. Obviously, one place is on this blog Rusty2rusty's Chatter. Second place is my blog called Food With A Plan.

Food With A Plan is underway to have many of my old tried and true recipes added. As I switched from blogging on a free website to a paid one. I only have two blogs posts for the week. Between setting up the "Food With A Plan" blog site and my boyfriend proposing to me. I have been a little distracted to write as much as I normally do. If you are connected through facebook, you may have seen a few posts I shared about it.

There were a few different opinions given. Such as the one who didn't believe it was real. Thanks to that stupid Facebook game going around where you post something, if someone answers you, they get a number and have to make a post as well. Lmao. I figured if that person really knew me or read my blogs. They would know I would not joke about something as serious as a marriage proposal. I didn't let that rain on my joy.

I wrote that wrong. He got down on one knee. I thought I would clarify it here. As he made sure to let me know. Lol. I just laughed and said I really have no clue how many knees you were on. I couldn't stop looking at your face. Between your smile and eyes, you had me memorized.

I know the necklace isn't much to start with. Yet, it is a great place to start a new chapter in my life with my boyfriend of five years. Really it is the thought that counts. I adore the necklace. I think it is cute, whimsical and well, me. Something I would have picked out myself. Now it is time to start planning.

February 13th through the 18th

Misco Soup Bowl Review - I wrote an honest review of the Misco Soup Bowl I picked up at Aldi's earlier this month. I listed the nutritional facts and gave 8 health benefits when eating Misco soup.

I have big plans for my blog - I share my plans for what I plan to do with my blogs. I have one of the things completed which I talked about earlier in this post.

I hope you enjoyed my second "Weekend Follow Up" post. I invite all my readers to leave your latest blog post link in the comments with a short description. If you leave a link, please check out someone else's link if you have time. You don't have to if you don't want to. This is my way of bringing blogger's together to meet each other. I will visit yours.

I Have Big Plans On My Blog

I have big plans for this blog in the next couple of months. As I plan to buy a domain and get hosting. I have held off as the views and comments have gone down 50 - 75% since President Trump won the American presidency. I have never written a political post on this blog. Nor do I plan to start.

Weekends seem to be a bust for views. Instead of creating new posts. I have started writing a Weekend Follow Up post where I share all blog posts I have written for the week. Plus, I allow anyone to leave a comment with a link to their latest blog post. I have not got many takers on that yet. I am still working to see how I can make those posts popular for those who do write on their blog on the weekends. I will be trying new things to see which work and which do not. As it is good for all bloggers to do a follow-up post of all they have written in a week's time. It is a way for the blog readers to catch up on what they missed or to be able to go back.

It is suggested by a pro blogger to turn my Weekend follow up into a link up party! To get a few bloggers to host the link up each week. If you are interested, please let me know.

However, I did get a spammer leave a mass amount of comments all over my blog with football links today. I went through and deleted all comments I could find. If you see where a comment has been deleted, that is why. I apologize to my readers for any convenience this may have caused you. I have added moderation on any future blog posts to prevent this.

I have thought about changing the name to my blog when I get a domain and hosting. Do you think my blog would do better with a name change? If so, what suggestions do you have for a name that would fit this blog?

I have much to think about when it comes to this blog, changes to it and how to improve it.

Are you planning anything big for your blog?

Misco Soup Bowl Review

The other day I was shopping at Aldi's when my teenage daughter noticed some prepared ready-made bowl type of meals. I looked them over and seen two flavors I wanted to try out for lunch. As I am home by myself during lunch every day. It is easier to have leftovers from the day before. When that is not available, I make something from a prepared packaged.

Before making it, I looked at the nutritional facts.

Nutritional Facts

Servings size 1/2 bowl. makes 2 servings.
120 calories per serving.
Total fat content 0%
Total cholesterol content 0%
Sodium content 360 mg at 15%
Total carbs 25 g
Protein 4 g.

The only thing that concerned me is the amount of salt being used. Being a soup this did not surprise me.

8 Benefits of Misco Soup

1. Boosts the immune system.
2. Prevents cancer caused by radiation exposure.
3. Helps to prevent breast cancer.
4. Helps improve digestion. Gives relief to those who suffer from IBS or Chron's disease.
5. It is used in the Japanese culture to remove nicotine from a person system.
6. Beneficial probiotics and nutrients to help boost immune system.
7. High content of antioxidants that helps fight the aging process.
8. Favorable effects on blood pressure.

After opening the package I found a plastic bowl and the ingredients.

I opened the packages up of the ingredients and placed them in the bowl. I followed the directions by adding 1 1/2 cup of water and microwaving on high for two minutes.

I had Misco soup a couple of times. each time it was prepared by a local Japanese restaurant. Basing my experience on that, if I was rating this Misco Soup Bowl from 1 to 5. 5 being the highest rated. I would rate this a 3. I rate it a 4 because of the sodium content. As that is high for someone who has to watch their sodium content. Plus, the fact the plastic bowl was flimsy. I had to place a plate underneath to carry it. As the side of the bowl was starting to collapse when trying to pick it up.

The taste was good. The noodles tasted excellent. The directions and preparations were easy.

Would I buy this again?
Yes, I would. I would separate the ingredients to make two separate bowls and double the amount of water to 3 cups to help cut down on the sodium. Thus, making the meal go further.

You Can Eat Healthy And Have A Sandwich Too

Many people tend to add unhealthy fattening stuff to their sandwiches. Why because it tastes good. I know I was one of those people for the longest time. As long as it tasted good. I didn't care if it was healthy for me or not. Till I found seven ways I could make the sandwich healthy and keep eating it.

1. Eat smaller sandwiches. When eating out, go for sliders instead of big burgers. Too many toppings add on calories.
2. Choose lean protein choices. Like tuna, salmon, chicken or turkey.
3. Add on vegetables or fruits. Instead of bacon, different types of cheese and fried onions.
4. Try adding whole grains to your diet. Instead of other bread that can be high in calorie and sugars.
5. Choose low-fat condiments or spreads on your sandwich. Low-fat mayo with olive oil, light mustard or hummus. A slice of avocado will do wonders will moisture and calories low.
6. Stay away from the processed packaged meat and cold cuts. Which are high in calorie, fat and salts.
7. Steer away from grilled or fried sandwiches. As they add calories and fat intake. Instead go for toasted bread or buns instead.

I will leave you will a video from the Grains Food Foundation.

Have You Felt The Spark With A Kiss?

When it comes to looking for the 'one' you expect to find them when sparks fly. How long does one need to wait before the sparks fly? Is is after the first kiss, first date, or when you feel the butterflies flutter in your stomach?

First, You Go On A Date

1. It is miserable. You know he or she is not for you.
2. You like her or his company but don't feel the spark. You want to try another date.
3. You know she or he is the one for you. You are hoping they feel the same way.

3 Set Of Rules That Can Vary With Each Date

1. Never call it quits on a decent first date. As emotions will be high strung. Never give up an opportunity to spend time with a nice person. If the person isn't a potential mate. You may have in fact found a new life-long friend.
2. Call it quits if the person is sending warnings or red flag signals. Such as referring to the opposite gender with negative and degrading words. Or seems to want to get in your pants. Unless you are looking for that.
3. Three dates is a good amount of time to realize if you want to pursue the person for a long term relationship or not. If you think he or she is a nice person but don't feel like getting a kiss. Move on that way the next person can have a chance. Don't settle or you can miss your chance to finally feel that spark.

I Knew When the Sparks Flew
I knew when the sparks flew the first time with my boyfriend when my heart was racing. At the same time, I was light headed after a kiss. With no awkward moments. I remember it clearly, where we were, what room we were in, what we were doing. Till this day I crave his kisses and soft touch. Everything around us seems to disappear when he kisses me. It is like we are entwined together as one, where all I can think about is how much I love him. It was, do I dare say 'magical'.

Have you felt the spark?

30 Romantic Gestures

With Valentine’s day coming up in a few weeks. I thought I would write about romantic gestures. Romantic gestures are ways for you to get close or feel connected to your significant other.

Some people don’t have a romantic bone in their body and need to be pushed to do anything romantic for their significant other. One thing I noticed if romance dies, many relationships suffer. As the significant partners tend to take each other for granted and expect certain things. Instead of doing the little things for each other because you want to make them smile or see them happy. Not have to do. Thus, causing some significant others to feel unloved. Where they start looking for it in other places.

Romantic gestures do not have to be expensive. Nor do they have to be out in the open for everyone to see.

Here is a list of romantic gestures that you can do all year long to keep the romance alive in your relationship

Taking a shower together
Being intimate in the shower
Being intimate on a beach or in a pool
Giving flowers or a stuffed animal for no reason
Rose petals on the bed
Rose petals trail leading to a surprise
Kissing in the rain
Taking a walk in the rain
Lit candles all over a room
Loudly playing romantic music outside someone’s window or door
Public serenade
Doing small gestures every day – deliver a single flower, handwritten love note, a favorite plant, tickets to see a movie or musical, etc.
Wearing nothing but a long coat
Tossing everything off table to make love
Picnic in the park
Placing an engagement in food or a drink
Making a mix CD of romantic songs
Taking a bubble bath together
Cuddling all night long
Falling asleep in your significant arms
Having a surprise dinner with candles
Cooking together
Surprise significant other with chocolate or their favorite candy
Serve breakfast in bed
Perform a dance for your partner
Sing to your partner
Play an instrument for your partner
Foot or back rub
Taking selfies together
Going to see a romantic comedy or love story

There are many more things you can do that could be considered a romantic gesture. Such as doing something your significant partner wants to do that you don’t want to do. Yet you do it because you know it is important to them. Even if it isn’t to you.

Something as simple as a late night drive down country roads. Or visiting the local animal shelter because your significant is an animal lover. Walking a few of the dogs. Knowing you can’t take another one in. You help give those dogs you walk some love. As well as please your significant other.

What are some other things you would consider a romantic gesture?

Challenge - Write about romantic gestures.
