Important Dog Food Recall - Evanger's Hunk Of Beef Dog Food

Have you heard there has been another dog food recall? Oh! This time it is Evanger's Big Hunk Dog Food. That can be bought in cans.

Evanger's is recalling three different types of it's canned pet food.  One comes in a 12 ounce can under the #776155, a second one is Evanger's flavor braised beef under the #776150, the third and last flavor is the Against The Grain Pulled Beef under the number #776107.

The sad part is these have been made between December 2015 and last month January 2017. That is a long to go back on a recall if you think about how many pets have eaten that and have gotten sick or worse yet, died from eating it. This recall should have been sooner. As the expiration dates on the can are between December 2019 and January 2021.

Somehow there was a deadly drug that came in contact with and contamiated the dog food called pentobarbital. Once Evanger's found out, they issued a voluntary recall. As these products were issued nationwide.

If you didn't know "pentobarbital" can affect your pet in several ways.
1. Losing balance
2. Nausea
3. Dizziness
4. Drowsiness
5. Excitement
6. Or in extreme cases death

One recall is too many when it comes to our furry loved ones. I don't know about you nut, my furries are a part of my family. They are my babies. I would lose it if one died because I thought I was feeding them good food. These companies need to be held accountable for being irresponsible in placing rotten ingredients or other harmful things in our pets foods. Remember to always report any issues you may have. That way a massive recall can be put out to the world.

What do you do if you have some of these tainted cans of dog food?

Take the product back where you bought them to get a full refund. The retailers will ship them back to the distributors to be disposed of in the proper manner.

If you choose to throw wit away yourself, please make sure to place it in a properly enclosed glass jar or metal can with a lid that can't be removed by a pet. That way no pet can tear the trash bag open and eat the contamination stuff.

Do not put it out for the neighborhood pets you wish to stay off your lawn. As other wildlife can get to it this way and be affected as well. Please dispose of it properly.

You can always call the company number at 847-537-0102 if you have any questions or inquiries.

Any U.S. citizen can report complaints to a number to their local area coordinator.  Make sure to read 'How To Report A Pet Food Problem' that way you are sure to reach the proper channels if you haven't so already.

  1. Somebody is trying to make people scared to buy anything. This has got to be part of some kind of well-orchestrated effort to keep people in a state of practically being afraid to buy or eat anything...
