One thing I enjoy using throughout my home is essential oils. I am thankful for the ones I am able to buy. As I can't afford to buy a full set at one time. I like to use them in making DIY hygiene supplies such as bath soaps, laundry soap and other recipes i find on Pinterest.
One scent I use the most is lavender. I wrote a review recently on Amazon.com about lavender essential oil I purchased.

Lavender essential oil is one of my favorites. It's also great to rub a small amount on the back of your neck and temples for relaxing. I make a body scrub with coconut oil and add a few drops of lavender to that also, smells so good!
ReplyDeleteI did rub some on neck today for the neck and migraine pain. It did help. Thank you for the suggestion.
DeleteOh I have not made my own body scrubs yet. Do you have a recipe you care to share?
I haven't tried lavender yet, still exploring.
ReplyDeleteI love the lavender scent.
DeleteI used lavender essential oil years ago to calm my then young son. I bought some in a shallow container with a sponge, that let it evaporate into the air. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

DeleteYes, I do. I love using 100% lavender essential oil for my massage therapy. I do put a few drops in my selfmade mosquito repellent. I use this too when I burn my skin when cooking or baking, making body spray, making me asleep and calm. I have to try this in my laundry. Never thought of that. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteIt works great in the laundry. A fresh towel right after a shower or bath before bed. Helps to calm and smooth to relax to sleep.
